(Nov. 28, 2023) - Strategic Weapons Facility-Atlantic (SWFLANT) Process Improvement Coordinator Caren Spahr (center) participates in an exercise demonstrating how to make ethanol derived from yeast at a Naval Academy (USNA) Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) outreach workshop Tuesday, November 28. Nested under Strategic Systems Programs, SWFLANT and Naval Ordnance Test Unit employees attended the day-long workshop--hosted by USNA's STEM Center for Education and Outreach and sponsored by the DoD and the Office of Naval Research--to learn about new and successful tactics, curriculum, and methods for STEM outreach at schools in local communities across the nation.
