Wetlands along the coastal waterway of Lake Erie where the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District performed work to re-establish the ecosystem by removing invasive plant species like phragmites, revegetate and create microtopography in the wetlands Port Clinton, Ohio, Nov. 27, 2023. The Great Lakes Fishery & Ecosystem Restoration project will rehabilitate about 14 acres of coastal wetland habitat making it more suitable for migratory birds, fish and native plant species.
