Cardwell, a native of Loudon, Tenn., will command approximately 3,500 soldiers and civilians that proudly serve in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, South Korea and Japan. This geographical region encompasses nearly 52 percent of the globe.
