Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III addresses service members during a visit at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Nov. 14, 2023. Osan Air Base hosted a small “town hall” style troop engagement and coining ceremony with joint service members from both U.S. and ROK armed forces as Austin’s final event during his recent visit to South Korea. Austin thanked the Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Guardians for their service and reaffirmed the importance of their efforts to the safety and security of the United States and the Indo-Pacific region.
