The Coast Guard and local law enforcement agencies have established security zones around the San Francisco waterfront during Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference this week. The 2023 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference will be held in San Francisco from November 14 through November 18, 2023. To ensure the safety of participants and waterways users on the San Francisco Bay, the Coast Guard has enacted regulated areas, published in the Federal Register and advertised by local and broadcast notice to mariners. The Coast Guard and law enforcement vessels will be patrolling the regulated areas to ensure all APEC events are conducted safely. (U.S. Coast Guard courtesy illustration)
