U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Stephan Lin, with Alpha Company, Landstuhl Medical Readiness Center, is tested on the operation of the PVS-14 monocular night vision device during the Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB), Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) and Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB), EB3 at Vilseck, Germany Nov. 8. E3B is EIB, ESB and EFMB combined and test candidates' physical and mental abilities while executing critical individual tasks and training which improves the armed force's ability to respond more effectively and efficiently which increases readiness.
