Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, marked a momentous occasion at the U.S. Navy Supply Corps School, as newly commissioned Supply Corps Officers received their first orders during the NSCS "Draft."
These officers are headed all over the world, from aircraft carriers (CVNs) to landing platform docks (LPDs) and destroyers (DDGs), and will carry with them the knowledge and skills they learned here at the NSCS. They will face diverse challenges and embrace opportunities, and in doing so, they will be an integral part of ensuring the Navy's readiness and efficiency.
Orders readings are a tradition that embodies the anticipation and camaraderie that comes with embarking on a new chapter in these new Supply Corps Officers' Naval careers. It is a culmination of their dedication and hard work throughout their training. It is the moment they have been working towards, and it's a dream realized.
