U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Alexander Cole, a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear specialist with 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, supporting NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia (eFP Latvia), engages in a community event held in Adazi, Latvia, Nov. 2, 2023. School-aged children interacted with members of the eFP Latvia, tried on U.S. Army equipment, and learned basic medical tasks. Other U.S. Army units that provided support for the event included the New York National Guard's 222nd Military Police Company and the U.S. Army Reserve’s 432nd Civil Affairs Company, out of Green Bay, Wis. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
