Corporal Ethan Sullivan, squad leader, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 7, started as a mortarman and is now filling a rifle squad leader’s billet while deployed to Afghanistan. His knowledge of both mortars and squad-level tactics has made him not only a well-rounded Marine but a better leader. He hopes to take his experiences and lessons learned to become a Marine combat instructor.
