U.S. Army Lt. Gen. (RET) Russel L. Honore’ participated in the 2023 127th Airborne Engineer Battalion and New Orleans District Hurricane Katrina Staff Ride Oct. 19, 2023. As the commander of Joint Task Force Katrina in 2005, Honore’ provided his leadership in coordinating military relief efforts in post-hurricane New Orleans, coordinating interagency and disaster response.
