Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province held there 50th Anniversary Citizens' Day Ceremony at the Seongnam Art Center Opera House, Seoul, South Korea on Oct. 5. With an attendance of about 2,000 people, including Seongnam City Mayor Shin Sang-jin, citizens, and lawmakers from the National Assembly provinces and cities, all gathered to commemorate the 50-year history of Seongnam City. U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan-Casey Commander Col. Loyd Brown was also in attendance and received a Seongnam City Honorary Citizenship from Mayor Shin and the city due to his contribution to the development of the city of Seongnam and commitment to strengthening the ROK/U.S. Alliance.
