Cadet Michael Moffeit, a criminal justice student and prior enlisted soldier with University of Texas at El Paso’s Reserve Officer Training Corp, races to reassemble an M16 A2 rifle during a competition with other cadets after receiving a block of instruction Sept. 21, 2012, from soldier instructors assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 77th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division. The UTEP ROTC program partnered with the “Steel Tigers” to conduct weapons training in preparation for their upcoming ROTC Ranger Challenge competition.
