Mayor of Saint Avold, France, Rene’ Stiener tours the 82nd War Memorial Museum, on Sept. 28, 2023, at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. He was accompanied by his Deputy Mayor Raymande Schweitzer, and Historian Pasqual Flaus. Retired Brig. Gen. and 82nd War Memorial Museum Manager John Aarsen led their tour. While visiting Fort Liberty, Stiener was introduced to the many facets of Fayetteville’s and XVIII Airborne Corps’ vast history.
