Cpl. Michael DiMatteo, a motor transport operator assigned to 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division "Black Jack," holds the unit colors during rehearsals for the transfer of authority ceremony between Black Jack Brigade and 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, in Zagan, Poland, Sept. 23, 2023. The ceremony, officiated by Maj. Gen. Christopher R. Norrie, commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, was the last step in the transition between the two rotational brigades and marked the return of Black Jack Troopers to Fort Cavazos, Texas.
