Spc. Michael Gibson, a Culinary Specialist assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, prepares a desert at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) on Fort Johnson, L.A., Sept. 21, 2023. Gibson and his fellow Paratroopers spend approximately ten hours preparing up to 8,000 servings between breakfast and dinner each day during the reception, staging, onward movement, and integration (RSOI) phase of JRTC Rotation 23-10.
