YOKOSUKA, Japan (September 21, 2023) - Capt. Les Sobol, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, delivers a speech during the annual Bells Across America Ceremony onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). The ceremony, hosted by the Navy Gold Star Program, pays tribute to the military members who died in service to our nation and recognizes the families who lost their loved ones. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
