YOKOSUKA, Japan (September 15, 2023) - Sailors selected for promotion to Chief Petty Officer pose for a photo on the football field in the Burkey Recreation area. The Chief Selects aranged themselves in a formation that spells out the acronym for Chief Petty Officer (CPO). For more than 75 years, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
