U.S. Special Operations Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) discuss close air support strategies while surveying their simulated battlespace from a viewing stand at Exercise Bright Star 2023, Sept. 9, on Mohamed Naguib Base, Egypt. Exercise BRIGHT STAR 23 is a multilateral U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) command-post exercise, field training exercise and senior leader seminar, held in the Arab Republic of Egypt along with other partner nations. Participation strengthens military-to-military partnerships between U.S. forces and our Egyptian partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility, as well as other participating nations. The exercise enhances regional security and stability by responding to modern-day security scenarios. (Courtesy photo by Polli Ogilvie)
