The SOCCENT Spiritual Domain/Religious Support Team, through USSOCOM's "Preservation of the Force and Family" (POTFF) program, offers Silent Resiliency Training at the Mepkin Abbey in North Charleston, SC. The training offers attendees a chance to rest, sleep, pray and disconnect. Many of us are busy and our lives exist within a noise-saturated environment. One's spiritual wellness can suffer as a result. These events are designed to replenish the soul and provide time and space for participants to reflect and rest. Starting the afternoon of September 25, 17 U.S. Special Operations Command Central team members and their spouses spent Friday through Sunday at an Orlando hotel focusing on their personal wellbeing. The importance of addressing and resolving conflict in relationships is what drove SOCCENT to host the offsite family retreat. The last time SOCCENT hosted a similar retreat occurred this past January.
