A member of the French Marine Infantry Regiment in French Polynesia, French Armed Forces, conducts a front kick with U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Tyler J. Ashton, company commander, Headquarters and Service Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, during close quarter combat training in Arue, Tahiti, French Polynesia, Sept. 5, 2023. The event provided an opportunity to conduct rigorous bilateral training between Pacific Marines and the French Armed Forces, strengthening relationships and building mutual respect among Allies and partners within the Indo-Pacific region.
