Soldiers of the 1 BN 175 INF Battalion Received training from instructors on range 59C at Fort Dix in New Jersey with the Gustav Recoilless Rifle. Each Soldier had the opportunity to fire the M3 Multi-Role Anti-Armor Anti-Personnel Weapon System (M3 MAAWS) using 7.62 rounds with the FFV 553B Sub Calibre Adapter as well as with TPT 141 Training Practice Tracer rounds. Two select Soldiers had the opportunity to fire two HEDP/502 high explosive dual-purpose rounds as well as two BFH228 aerial burst rounds.
