Silver Flag training site at Tyndall AFB will soon open a newly constructed vehicle maintenance shop. The facility is a part of the Tyndall rebuild and will be used to maintain 250 Silver Flag vehicle assets. New features include a 20-ton overhead crane, two lifts, as well as other preventive maintenance and service capabilities to keep vehicles operating safely before, during and after training exercises. The training center is one of three of the $22.8M facilities completed ahead of schedule. The completion of these facilities will bring greater efficiency to the readiness training required for rotational deployments and response force contingencies.
