Chesapeake, Va. (August 30, 2023). Educators from the Chesapeake, Virginia public school system participate in a WWII spotter card history program provided by Zac Cunningham, School Programs Educator at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The program was part of a pre-service week symposium for social studies and history teachers in the Chesapeake Public Schools System at Grassfield High School. The symposium attracted area museums in an effort to promote school based programs. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum, one of ten U.S. Navy museums within the Naval History and Heritage Command, offers a variety of curriculum based programs for area schools free of charge. The museum is located in Norfolk, Virginia and is free to visit. (U.S. Navy Photo by Max Lonzanida/Released).
