Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. (July 26, 2023). The National Museum of the U.S. Navy holds a panel discussion on Executive Order 9881, signed by President Harry S. Truman, in 1948, which de-segregated the Armed Forces. The panel discussed how this order has impacted the U.S. military to the modern day.
