Cub Scout Phillip Vargas, 10, of Cub Scout Pack 225, carries the troop flag during the 50th annual Kaneohe Christmas Parade, Dec. 1. To his right, Cub Scout Ty Freiburger, 9, carries the American flag. Many sons of Marines and sailors aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii are part of Cub Scout Pack 225. The parade hosted approximately 1,800 marchers, 25 vehicles, 16 floats and eight bands. Local organizations, clubs, schools and churches participated. It started at Windward Mall on Haiku Road, and ended at Castle High School.
