U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Hill met with Michael Gutstein, sergeant major U.S. Army Reserve (retired), college assistant from the Military and Veteran Affairs Office (MAVA), at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn on Aug. 1. Hill met with representatives from the MAVA office to discuss possible internship possibilities at Fort Hamilton for students at the College. The MAVA serves the needs of prospective and enrolled active military personnel, veterans, their dependents and survivors, and aids in application and certification for students who are eligible to receive education benefits under various Department of Veterans Affairs programs.
