Members of the New York Naval Militia track the locations of boats on the Niagara River in the Naval Militia Command trailer near Youngstown, New York on July 29, 2023, while supporting a U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian smuggling interdiction effort called Operation Lake Thunder. The New York Naval Militia, a 3,000-member component of the New York Military Forces, provided two patrol boats and nine personnel to support the mission.
