Navy Captain Michael Eby, the commanding officer of Field Medical Training Battalion West, gives a short tour of the FMTB-West Museum to Sam Pelham, the Semper Fit deputy director, at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Nov. 30. Pelham visited FMTB-West to award the battalion with a $2,000 check from Marine Corps Community Services for outstanding volunteer work during the Hard Corps Race Series 2012. The battalion provided more than 200 volunteers during the Hard Corps Race Series 2012. The corpsmen who volunteered primarily provided medical assistance to competitors during and after the race.
