ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 14, 2023) An F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 143 receives fuel from commercial tanker during an in-flight refueling evolution. VFA 143 is participating in Carrier Strike Group (CSG) Two, Dwight D. Eisenhower CSG’s Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intense, multi-week exercise designed to fully integrate a carrier strike group as a cohesive, multi-mission fighting force and to test their ability to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
