UNDISCLOSED LOCATION, Calif. (July 17, 2023) A West Coast-based Naval Special Warfare (NSW) operator conducts reconnaissance with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1 during routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. CSG-1 is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. NSW integrated with CSG-1 to enhance maritime domain awareness and to educate leaders on emerging NSW capabilities. NSW is the nation’s elite maritime special operations force, uniquely positioned to extend the Fleet’s reach and gain and maintain access for the Joint Force in competition and conflict.
