20230718-N-MD461-1007 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 18, 2023) Aviation Structural Mechanic (Safety Equipment) 3rd Class Junzhe Zang, a native of Anchan, China, assigned to the “Bounty Hunters” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 2, performs maintenance inside of an F/A-18F Super Hornet in the hangar bay of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1’s flagship, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. Integrated exercises prepare our Sailors to respond quickly. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-to-day competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
