SAN DIEGO (July 14, 2023) Lt. Cmdr Rebecca Samuels, a native of Elkhart, Indiana, is piped ashore during a departure ceremony in the upper vehicle deck aboard USS Boxer (LHD 4). Samuels served as first lieutenant and deck department head during her tour. Boxer is a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship homeported in San Diego.
