Maj. Gen. JP McGee Commanding General, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) meets with the Slovakian Chief of Defense Gen. Daniel Zmeko during his visit to Fort Campbell, Ky., July 13, 2023.
During Gen. Zmeko’s visit he participated in a discussion with senior leaders of the 101st Airborne Division on the on-going war in Ukraine and shared lessons learned to further strengthen their partnership. Currently, the 101st Airborne Division has forces in Europe bolstering NATO’s eastern flank where U.S. and Slovakian forces are training side by side to assure their commitment to the alliance and deter further aggression from any adversary.
