(June 27, 2023) – An EA-18G Growler assigned to the “Cougars” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 139, lands before the squadron’s homecoming celebration on Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash., June 27, 2023. VAQ-139, assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, embarked on USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and completed a seven-month deployment to U.S. 3rd and 7th Fleet areas of operation in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
