During Operation Solemn Promise (a recommitting of Army Values), a group of recruits are sworn in by Brig. Gen. Bruce T. Crawford, 5th Signal commander. More than 1,500 members of the command attended the ceremony, while others watched via live online broadcast. The event took place on Nov. 16, at the Wiesbaden Fitness Center, Clay Kaserne, Germany.
