The Charles Bancroft McLane Conference Room was named after the first Soldier to report to duty with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Lewis, Washington, during a memorialization ceremony June 21 inside Hays Hall. Charles B. McLane captained the ski team at Dartmouth College and competed at the Pan-American ski races in Chile before he enlisted in the Army in 1941.
