Army Warrant Officer Eric Soto, 8th Airborne Ordnance Company, slowly lowers himself down the side of the air traffic control tower, Feb. 27. Two nylon ropes are used during the descent to ensure safety, one is used by the person rappelling to control speed and the other is controlled by trained firefighters at the top of the tower. Warrant Officer Soto is deployed from Fort Bragg, N.C.
