230603-N- AL214 -0001 MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan (June 3, 2023) – Airmen assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and Sailors assigned to Patrol Squadron 26 pose for a group photo in front of an RAAF P-8A Poseidon on the flight line of Naval Air Facility Misawa as part of a trilateral maritime patrol exercise. The U.S.-led exercise was conducted with the RAAF and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and was designed to practice and coordinate maritime patrol in order to enhance interoperability of the U.S. and its allies to meet traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
