The exercise demonstrated the Marine Corps’ capability to rapidly emplace, fire, and displace in austere environments. Hernandez, a native of Ivanhoe, California, is a high mobility artillery rocket system operator with 5th Battalion, 11th Marines and is forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 3d Battalion, 12th Marines, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
