A perfect day for members of the Officer in Charge of Construction Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program to visit our monolith construction site in Brewer, Maine. To date, 4,408 cubic yards of concrete have been placed, of which 1,460 cubic yards were placed last week. In addition to the concrete, 1,578 tons of rebar has been put in place. Tremendous progress is being made.
