U.S. Marines Staff Sgt. Gunner Bauer and Lance Cpl. Mark Anthony Stiegh, airframes mechanics with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 361, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) collect a hydraulic fluid sample during a first stage hydraulic system check during spin up on a CH-53E Super Stallion, June 3, 2023, on Mountain Home Air Force Base, Mountain Home, Idaho. The squadron collected the sample to test for clean hydraulic fluid to ensure the fluid is free of foreign contaminants. The hydraulic system check ensured there were no leaks in the system to optimize efficiency and safety on the aircraft.
