CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (May 30, 2023) Service members deployed to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, perform “The Murph Challenge” consisting of a one-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats and finishing with one-mile run at CrossFit 11th Parallel, Djibouti, May 28. The challenge is a physical and mental test to honor the legacy of U.S. Navy Lt. Michael Murphy a Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient who was killed in action, June 28, 2005. CLDJ serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
