Peggy S. Harris, a World War II widow, stands next to the grave of her husband, 1st Lt. Billie D. Harris in the Normandy American Cemetery in France. 1st Lt. Harris’ plane was shot down while flying a mission over Nazi-occupied France and crashed into the woods near a small town in Normandy. He never returned home. Although it took more than 60 years, Peggy remained determined to find answers to her husband’s whereabouts. (Courtesy photo)
