(May 23, 2023) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Robert Derrington (right) and Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Jordon Greene, both attached to Beachmaster Unit (BMU) 1, direct a Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC), attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, as it departs the beach during Midshipman Summer Training onboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, May 23, 2023. Midshipmen Summer Training occurs annually to prepare Midshipmen for service as commissioned officers and leaders in the Navy and Marine Corps. ACB 1 is headquartered in San Diego and is the sole Navy unit to conduct Improved Navy Lighterage System missions.
