NEWPORT, RI – U.S. Space Force (USSF) Chief of Space Operations (CSO) Gen. Chance Saltzman visits U.S. Naval War College (NWC) May 18, 2023. During the visit, Saltzman addressed students, staff, and faculty, and held a round table discussion with the nine USSF students currently enrolled at NWC. Saltzman became the second-ever USSF CSO in November 2022. As CSO, he serves as the senior uniformed USSF officer responsible for the organization, training, and equipping of all space forces serving in the U.S. and overseas. Established in 1884, NWC informs today’s decision-makers and educates tomorrow’s leaders by providing educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop their ability to anticipate and prepare strategically for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive warfighting advantage.
