Soldiers with the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard and fellow service members assigned to the Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington participate in an Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath Ceremony at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Washington, D.C., on April 13, 2023.
The event commemorated the 280th anniversary of the birth of Thomas Jefferson.
As in all but two of the eighty years since the dedication of the Jefferson Memorial in 1943, the District of Columbia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, in cooperation with the National Park Service and the Military District of Washington, sponsored the commemorative ceremony.
