230505-N-SF508-1564 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 5, 2023) – Operations Specialist 3rd Class Danisha Pascua, from Santo Domingo, Costa Rica, assigned to U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), performs a mechanically assisted control hold takedown after being sprayed with oleoresin capsicum during a security reaction force basic (SRF-B) course on the main deck of Blue Ridge, May 5, 2023. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
