230511-N-MT837-1002 Charlie, Patty Mac, and Izzy, facility dogs at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) gathered together May 11 to meet the nurses of the medical center and show their puppy appreciation as part of National Nurses Week events. Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday. The 2023 Nurses Week theme “Nurses Make a Difference: Anytime, Anywhere – Always” honors the unwavering commitment of DHA nurses to their patients, and the value they provide to the unified health care team in accomplishing their medical readiness mission.
