V Corps Commanding General Lt. Gen. John S. Kolasheski presents Gerald Kochan, director, Polish American Museum, Center for Military Studies in Port Washington, New York, a V Corps branded bourbon barrel lid as a thank you for his recognition and visit at V Corps Headquarters, Fort Knox, Kentucky, May 11, 2023. Kochan visited V Corps to award Kolasheski the Polish American Museum Center for Military Studies Distinguished Achievement Award for his service as V Corps' commanding general. The Center for Military Studies was founded in 1992 by Kochan to recognize contributions by the newly reconstituted democracies of Eastern Europe, not only their current, but their earlier combats alongside the U.S. military.
