Recruits of Company I, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, face off against one another in a pugil stick bout aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 29. Recruits were matched up according to weight. Prior to the pugil stick fights recruits were taught blocks and strikes.
